One of the best tips I got is to follow back your expired subscribers. This strategy can significantly increase your income. Here’s a detailed guide on how to do it:
Why Follow Back Expired Subscribers?
- Increased PPV Sales: By following back expired subscribers, you can send Pay-Per-View (PPV) content to them. Many of these expired subs are likely to buy PPV, boosting your income.
- More Engagement: Following them back allows you to maintain a connection, encouraging them to return and potentially resubscribe.
Important Notes
- Messaging Access: When you follow back an expired subscriber, they can message you without resubscribing. If they constantly message without subscribing or buying PPV, you can unfollow them and add them to a “do not follow back” list.
- Respect Preferences: If a follower complains about receiving PPV without being subscribed, unfollow and add them to the list to ensure they don’t receive unwanted content.
Steps to Follow Back Expired Subscribers
Step 1: Update Your Settings
- Go to Settings.
- Navigate to Fans and Following.
- Toggle ON Auto follow back my fans.
- Toggle OFF Unfollow when subscription has ended (important!).
Step 2: Manually Follow Back Previous Fans
For fans who expired before you enabled the auto follow-back feature, follow these steps:
- On Desktop:
- Click your profile picture in the top left corner.
- Click “Following” next to your fan count.
- Go to the “Expired” tab.
- Start following everyone back. They will disappear from this tab as soon as you follow them, indicating you’re done.
This manual process may take some time. It’s helpful to put on a podcast and spend an hour or two on this task. Once done, the auto-follow feature will handle new subscribers.
By following these steps, you can maximize your potential earnings and keep your audience engaged, even after their subscriptions expire.
